Holika Dahan Timings 2024

This year, the Holi festival will be celebrated on March 24, 2024. The auspicious time for Holika Dahan on this day is from 11:13 PM to 12:27 AM.

Holika Dahan Puja Rituals

• On the day of Holika Dahan, take a bath before performing the puja.

• After that, burn all of the woods you have collected for the Holika Dahan.

• Following this, commence the Holika Dahan puja.

• For the puja materials, keep roli, flowers, flower garland, raw thread, jaggery, moong (green gram), sugar candy, coloured powder, coconut, 5 to 7 types of grains, raw wheat or gram stalks, and water in a pot.

• Perform the puja with all these worship materials following the complete procedure and offer sweets and fruits.

• Along with the Holika puja, also perform the puja of Lord Narasimha with the appropriate rituals.

• Finally, move around the Holika’s effigy seven times.

Holi 2024 Date and Time

This year, Holi will be celebrated on March 25, 2024. The Falgun Purnima falls on the morning around 09:45 AM of March 24 and lasts until the next day, March 25, until 12:29 PM.

People observe fasts and also worship Lord Vishnu on this day. In Hinduism, Falgun Purnima holds special significance.

On the day of Holi, the worship of Lord Shri Satyanarayan is of special importance as he is considered one of the forms of Lord Vishnu.
